Religion I love being a praise and worship leader! I love the calling, I really like seeing the congregation respond and I even love the preparation, practice and set up! Being a praise and worship leader is an integral part of my life, whether I’m active in leading, touring to new audiences, recording or simply sitting around strumming a guitar in my cell group. I would moderately be concerned within the worship of the church than in any other department, although the work calls for from being concerned in this aspect of ministry can be greater than in many other areas of the church. I know lots of you love being a praise and worship leader too! While a few of chances are you’ll be pissed off or discouraged in your calling, I hope that this discussion of why I really like what I do is an encouragement to you in your personal situation. The Calling of Being a Praise and Worship Leader I really like the truth that I’m called to be a worship leader! God has not solely laid this ministry on my heart and given me abilities to use, but He has also challenged and developed it over time. In truth, whereas some individuals in the numerous audiences around the world where I ministry would see my ministry because the finished product, I can guarantee you that my worship leading is part of the long, typically painful and still presently continuing education process! The Challenge of Being a Praise and Worship Leader One other factor I like about being a praise and worship leader is the problem that it makes on my life, my walk with the Lord and on my musical and singing abilities! In any ministry there’ll all the time be challenges and it’s our triumphs over these challenges that build character into our lives. Worship leading isn’t a lot about self-esteem and self-confidence as it’s about self-discipline, as a result of we want discipline to satisfy the challenges that we face, and to over.e them in the energy of the Holy Spirit. A few of the challenges we face are musical. We must learn to pick out the best songs and arranged them in revolutionary and attractive ways. We can be challenged in our singing and musical capability, so we should always be improving our abilities, honing and sharpening them regularly. Some challenges we face are religious, so we should rise to the occasion and be sure that our life with the Lord is on monitor! It is not enough to look good on stage when our personal life with Jesus is a fraud! Who we current as onstage have to be a mirrored image of who we’re within the prayer closet, and it is a constant challenge to maintain us humble and seeking the Lord at ALL times. One of many unrecognized challenges of being a praise and worship leader is in leading our workforce and again we’d like the Lord’s wisdom as we lead. It’s not sufficient to be a great singer or musician, we must be great leaders of the men and women in our team. We need to encourage them, sometimes rebuke them and always be available to them to take care of any challenges that they face. We have to cope with conflicts between team members, and recognize that we are responsible for the non secular stroll of all of the team members if we’re to grow to be great and efficient worship leaders. The Joy of Being a Praise and Worship Leader Along with the challenges there are also many wonderful joys in being a praise and worship leader. When I over.e challenges this can convey me joy. Once I see our group rising in the Lord as well as gelling collectively as a band, this too brings me joy. Even little things like hitting an ideal concord or arranging a tune in a new and exciting way convey me joy. I imagine that the final word pleasure of being a praise and worship leader is once we look out throughout the congregation and we see individuals worshiping the Lord with all their hearts. The enjoyment of understanding that I will lead folks into a deeper and more meaningful expertise of God is a pleasure like no other, and seeing this makes up for all the hours of practice, the coping with challenges and conflicts and the time given as much as spend in preparation for the church service. This to me is cost in full! At the end of the church service, I wish to know that I’ve been a great and trustworthy servant and there’s no higher joy than that. Standing on stage in seeing individuals in the audience dropping themselves in worship and adoration of the Lord fills my heart with joy, and when you’ve got the same calling as me I do know it can convey you joy as well.
